Description
The Aristocrat cue with seasoned North American Maple shaft (acer saccharum), silky smooth through the bridge with no noticeable grain patterns. Maple has been used in snooker and billiard cues for hundreds of years due to its dense grain and predictable reaction.
The David Bowen Aristocrat is for the player who wants to hold something precious without forfeiting class. Four primary exotic splices above four secondary lower splices of exotic hardwood and genuine hardwood veneers. Many precious rare exotic hardwoods are available for the lower splices as well as a large choice for the primary splices.
Choices for the large primary splices include African Ebony, Macassar Ebony, Striped Asian Ebony and African Blackwood. There are many more choices for the exotic hardwood lower splices as these exotic woods are more readily available in shorter lengths.
The Aristocrat cue badge now reads, “Handmade by DAVID BOWEN – ARISTOCRAT No. xxx”.
Maple shafts are produced to order from timber that has been slowly kiln dried and then rested for a further 12 months to ensure it is stable. The shaft is then made over a period of 12-18 months to ensure it will remain straight for a lifetime.
